This is the Village of Hoochippi, which is in the province of Nookomis. This small village grows corn, sweet potatoes, persimmons, blueberries, and wild strawberries.
The village also propagates wood blewit mushrooms and fishes for trout year-round and salmon during their freshwater season.
"Nookomis" is a Chippewa word that means "female ancestor".
Players encounter a village named "Nookomis" which is dedicated to the female ancestors of The Woodlanders.
"Stonepunk" is a term used to describe the style of technology used in The Woodlanders video game.
The "Stonepunk" subgenre's core characteristic is the use of "Stone Age" or Paleolithic tools combined with modern technological solutions.
I also craft my "Stonepunk" game world with an air of fantasy and mysticism!
The early Paleolithic and Mesolithic Americans roamed the Earth freely before settling into sprawling villages like
Kay-Nah-Chi-Wah-Nung, Cahokia, Bonampak, and Chichen Itza.
This song is meant to encapsulate the early American Nomadic spirit. It is a slow and melodic tune infused with the calming sounds of nature. Enjoy!
The drum is like the heartbeat of any song.
So, "The Dancing Drum" soundtrack is like the heartbeat of the Woodlanders game world!
Enjoy this rhythmic dance tune inspired by the patterns of the ancient American musicians.
