The "Stonepunk" subgenre's core characteristic is the use of stone age tools combined with modern technological solutions.

The early Paleolithic and Mesolithic Americans roamed the Earth freely before settling into sprawling villages like 

Kay-Nah-Chi-Wah-Nung, Cahokia, Bonampak, and Chichen Itza.
